Since the war on drugs began and the stigma around psychedelics started in 1980’s, the benefit of sacred plant medicines has not been explored thoroughly. New research shows the powerful medical benefits that can come for those utilizing entheogens and other plant medicines safely.
Whether you have seen it on the news, in a digital article, or you've heard about it from a friend, thousands of people are using entheogenic plants, fungi, and other sacred medicines as an alternative therapy for healing.
We believe safe places, facilitation, and reintegration are a vital part of the process for those who choose to explore entheogens. BVN wants to ensure there is a safe space for the education and communication around veterans choosing to use these modalities. Like most non-traditional eastern modalities, there are many stigmas, and we must educate and allow people to have the freedom to choose how they participate in what helps them heal, we are all about veterans finding any means necessary to help in the healing journey.
There are great organizations doing work in this space that we want to continue to support and connect veterans to these life saving modalities.
We are an ambassador organization supporting:
Heroic Hearts Project (HHP) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that connects military veterans struggling with mental trauma to psychedelic therapy options, including ayahuasca, psilocybin (magic mushrooms,) and ketamine. These veterans typically have tried all the available resources offered by the Department of Veteran Affairs with limited success leaving them with very few options. We open the door to other viable options. HHP also provides support and professional counseling to these veterans throughout the process.
Veterans Alternative is a 501(c)(3) that provides services to Combat Veterans and their spouses. Combat Veterans include Military members and Veterans who have served in a deployed location during conflict or war. After serving in Afghanistan as a Detachment Senior Special Forces engineer with the Army’s elite 7th Special Forces Group, CEO/Founder Brian Anderson came home and was met with two realizations.
